Power Selected for the Norrsken Impact Accelerator Program
Nairobi, Kenya Jun 8, 2022. Kenyan based financial wellness company Power has been selected for this year’s cohort of the Norrsken Accelerator programme in Stockholm, Sweden.
Norrsken Impact Accelerator is a €125 million pre-seed accelerator investing in the best startups solving the world’s biggest challenges. The program targets early-stage startups that leverage technology to create and scale innovative solutions to new and old societal and environmental challenges.
Norrsken announced that Power joins 19 other global startups that were selected to join the coveted accelerator program. The program is a springboard to help the best and brightest startups maximise their opportunity for success over an eight-week period where the startups will be exposed to mentorship, networking and various trainings, aimed at aligning them for success.
The 2022 batch was selected by an expert team that included Norrsken Foundation CEO Erik Engellau Nilsson, Capital T Founding Partner Janneke Niessen, Lazada Co-founder Christopher Brinkeborn Beselin, Kry Co-founder Fredrik Jung-Abbou, Brilliant Minds Co-founder Ash Pournouri and Walerud Ventures Founder Jane Walerud. The Norrsken Impact Accelerator is also supported by the Norrsken VC and Africa investment teams.
Other startups joining the program include Nigerian digital primary health startup, Clafiya and clean tech startup, SunFi; Mozambican mobility platform Appload; Ugandan lending platform Emata; Tanzanian payment solution Umoja Labs; Rwandan artisan recruitment service Fixa; Ghanaian BNPL platform Motito; South African health network HealthDart.
